Accompanying me were my mum, aunt, and grandma, whose parents were born on &#8216;the rock&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We landed in St. John&#8217;s on a rainy July day after a red-eye flight. After a couple days there, we started driving west. Our itinerary took us to Carbonear, Trinity, Glovertown, Gander, Corner Brook, and Woody Point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My highlight was visiting Woody Point, a tiny town in stunning Gros Morne National Park where my great-grandmother was born.
